Bill Bader Jr. of Summit Motorsports Park fame along with his son Evan Bader are our guest this week on the DragChamp Show. The Bader family operates Summit Motorsports Park which is the premier racing facility in the country. We had a great conversation on their recent 18-month hiatus due to COVID, the secret to running a top notch facility, and what it's like working with family.
The in depth conversation covered their famous Halloween Classic race, their Edelbrock Super Series, how they manage 1,000+ cars at a race, and the balancing act of satisfying sponsors, racers, fans, and employees. Bill gave us a behind-the-scenes look at how the 2020 decisions came to be and how they created their most aggressive schedule ever for 2021.
We wrap up the show talking with Evan and his relationship with the late Skeet Peaco, him telling the "I pissed my pants story" and the fun times he has working with his dad.
This episode was so much fun as these guys are true professionals. Enjoy!
