We all know how important how Human Rights are, but have you ever considered the stakes of adjudicating Human Rights cases on the international level?
This week we sit down with Leila Bezdrob, former trainee at the European Court of Human Rights and Nantes University French Law Grad & Cardiff University English Law Graduate. In this episode we discuss Leila’s experience in working for one of the highest courts of Europe, the mentorship relationship working for a judge, the agility of the ECHR in adapting to the pandemic, and the symbolic as well as legal role taken by the courts.

Outside the ECHR, we discuss the difficulty of penetrating the Human Rights legal careers market and the ways one can build a reputation within it, as well as Leila’s dual-degree background and the experience of not only learning two different legal systems, but also 2 different methods of learning.
