Welcome to episode #20 of the SCHS Visual Arts Podcast! In this episode we have our very first conversation with a musician and songwriter. We talk to Kate Davis about the Venn diagram of music and visual art, the importance of what you have to say in your work, and taking the leap from the rigid jazz music scene to writing songs of her own. We really appreciate Kate being so honest with us, and giving us a lot of advice on creativity that was so applicable to visual art..

Thank you so much to Kate for talking with us! Please check out her music wherever music can be found. You can listen to her 2019 album Trophy and her 2021 cover album Strange Boy now! You can also find Kate on Instagram @katedavismusic or online at katedavismusic.com.

(Note: This was recorded live with one of our advanced art classes, which is why the audio quality changes throughout the episode)
