On Season 1 Episode 22 of Dialégomai: The PĒØPŁËŠ Conversation, hosts Travis and Kyra Gold discuss God’s design for and in evangelism.
As believers, we are all called to evangelize and in this compelling conversation, Travis and Kyra kick things off by examining our biblical mandate to “do the work of an evangelist” defining biblically what an evangelist is.
Continuing the conversation, they share that while we do not have control over a person’s response to the Gospel, we do have control over a person’s hearing of the Gospel which is a responsibility God has sovereignly entrusted us with as His co-workers, exegetically unpacking God’s eternal aims in our evangelism as articulated in Acts 26:15-18.
Throughout this episode, they unpack 4 points about Gospel centered evangelism as seen in the Word of God. Stating that Scripture, by the power and work of the Spirit, is the primary tool God uses in our evangelism, explaining how evangelism is a process and long term endeavor, highlighting how God uses His people to do the humanly impossible and sharing how our lives are to give credibility to our words.
Concluding this conversation on a biblical note of encouragement, they tenderly challenge us to pray for healthy hearts that revere Christ as Lord and to always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks us to give the reason for the hope that we have seen in 1 Peter 3:13-15.
They wrap up by praying that by the grace of God, our private affections for Jesus would match our public expressions of faith and our public expressions of faith would match our private affections in Jesus Name.
