I’m talking today with the lovely Veronica Sanderson from the Birth Photography Collective about her work as a birth photographer, business owner and her journey so far. Birth is often associated with fear and too many unknowns, but Veronica helps women by capturing the beauty in those sacred moments.
In this episode, Veronica shares her journey getting started in photography, why birth photography captivated her and she talks about the Birth Photography Collective, a team of like minded and passionate photographers.
Veronica shares how she educates her clients on her process, how she goes about respecting different people’s birth choices and when she knows a client isn’t the right fit for her. We talk about the realities of running a business, the hard work involved and how her mistakes have been the biggest teacher.
We also discuss Veronica’s biggest learning, which is to know her value and charge accordingly. This is certainly something I see many women struggle with and we talk about the need to shift the thinking behind what drives this.
