Episode 3: Dr Roham Alvandi - The Shah of Iran: Dr Roham Alvandi is Associate Professor of International History at the London School of Economics. He is the author of two books, the first Nixon, Kissinger, and the Shah: was selected by the Financial Times as one of the best history books of 2014. He is also the editor and author of The Age of Aryamehr: Late Pahlavi Iran and its Global Entanglements. This week we discuss the Shah's foreign and domestic policies, the White Revolution, SAVAK, his relationship with Henry Kissinger, and the events that eventually led to the Shah's downfall.
