This week's episode was heavily influenced by a lot of events going on recently (whether we knew it at the time of recording or not), and we are so excited about it! We began by sharing our "lights" of the week and then dived into the topic all about social media and its effects on body image and mental health as a whole. Lauryn shared her experience listening to the most recent episode of "Call Her Daddy" and Alex's insights into the world of photoshop/FaceTune and how deceitful these apps can be to our perception of ourselves and others. We discussed our own personal experiences with the way that social media has affected us and our own journey with grappling with how it helps our self-esteem. We also discussed the unfortunate truth in how much it has ruined not just our digital but our daily experiences, especially for Lauryn and her generation, because of how much social media takes precedence for enjoying the present moment. We don't have any solutions to these problems, but we definitely got a lot out of discussing these challenges together and we hope you did too. We finished out by sharing what we're into for the week and are looking forward to our next episode with a special guest!
