This week, I wanted to talk about style as a form of self-care.

What inspired this is because I've been having a rough time personally for the past few weeks. If you follow me on Instagram, you'll have seen me be a little more candid this week on Stories about some of my worries and the things I've been struggling with. There are times when it's just harder to be a person, and as someone with a long history of anxiety and depression, I know exactly what that feels like.

But this weekend, I got dressed up for my friend's networking event for entrepreneurs, and although I was having a really low energy week, I felt really called to go. And it turns out, the act of dressing up and getting out of the house really did help lift my spirits.

That's why I wanted to use this episode to discuss how I use style as a form of self-care, so that maybe you can see whether it can be as cathartic for you as it is for me.

Tune in as I share five different tips on how to incorporate fashion and style as a part of a self-care routine. Because it's not just about new outfits or glamming up, but there's something about wearing things that feel good shifts your energy. Wearing an outfit you love really motivates you through some tough times, and I also share some stories and examples of how it's helped me in the past.

I’ll also leave you with some loving reminders from me to you:

  • The heaviness you carry doesn't outweigh your worthiness

  • Your darkness doesn't snuff out your light

  • Your losses don't diminish your wins

  • You can thrive on some days, and focus on surviving other days

  • You're doing much better than you think you're doing

  • You're loved as you are, for who you are

  • I am proud of you and I am proud of us

Have a great end of your week, loves xo
