Welcome to episode 89 of Shoot Edit Chat Repeat, the podcast for people photographers. Hosted by two leading UK portrait photographers, Vicki Knights & Eddie Judd.

This week we are chatting to wedding photographer Rebecca Carpenter.

Rebecca Carpenter made an entrance onto the wedding scene in 2017, with her first ever wedding making the cover of Your London Wedding. Since then, her editorial shooting style coupled with her fun personality have seen her become a much-loved and respected member of the wedding community.

Her Instagram following grew hugely during lockdown, as her honest and open approach to the platform struck a chord with thousands of photographers and wedding industry professionals all sharing the most challenging year of business ever.

We invited Rebecca onto the show to talk to us about how photographers can use Instagram to grow their businesses.

Here are some of the things we chat about:

- How important is it that we keep up with the (regular!) changes on Instagram - Do we need to embrace videos and reels to make a success of Instagram - How can we use reels if we don't want to dance and point at captions - What is the most recent advice on hashtags? - How vulnerable should we be on Insta?

And lots more!

If you join us as a patron, for just $5 a month (and you won't get charged in between series), you'll get instant access to the extra questions we ask Rebecca where she talks us through exactly how to create reels without it taking hours! Click here for all of the details and to get instant access to the longer version of this episode, on your favourite podcast app.
