In 1996, the Newark New Jersey Police Department unlawfully fired Darren Nance from his position as a police officer. After a fourteen year legal battle a Federal Jury ruled in 2010 that Darren Nance was unlawfully terminated. That ruling cost Newark taxpayers approximately ($3,000,000.00) three million dollars. Now the Cory Booker administration of Newark is preparing to spend thousands of additional scarce financial resources to keep an honest and innocent police officer from returning to the Newark Police Department. On Thursday April 19, 2012 at 6:00 PM eastern time, we will discuss this unbelievable action by the Newark Police Department and the Cory Booker administration. Why are they fighting the reinstatement of an innocent and honest police officer while retaining the services of police officer involved in a drunk driving fatality, and another who planted drugs on an innocent citizen?
