The cost per client is how much does it cost you in terms of time, money and other resources to acquire a single client. If you run a business where a client pays you 2k a month for 12 months but it costs you 2k to acquire them would you pay that? Would be silly not to because you'd essentially be buying 22k for 2k. Understanding your cost per client allows you to know how much you should be investing in things like marketing and sales.
