Many of us may be feeling like we are going through the worse time of crushing and pressing from all sides in trial and tribulations but I have an encouraging word for you! We see in the death of Jesus, just as the olive and the grape are crushed and pressed to release the oil and the wine, so we, too, will experience the same to prove our faith and hope! It’s through this crushing and pressing that to power of the Holy Spirit is seen and released in, upon and through us! Psalm 8 & 9 were written by David during intense times of suffering. 1 Peter 1:6 In this [future salvation] we greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ!
