The heinous acts of domestic terrorism that occurred on January 6th shook the world. The former POTUS incited people to storm the capitol using misinformation and attacks on the American democracy. Myself like many Americans stood jaw on ground witnessing this surreal historical moment. Yet, it is hypocritical that this one form of domestic terrorism gained castigation from the entire nation. I examine why we are historically silent when acts of domestic terrorism on inflicted on non-black peoples. The epicenter of Western Civilization as it relates to the Americas post 1492 has been one of genocide, slavery, and racism.
