In this first episode, we set the stage for the Sensitives On A Mission podcast by exploring what it means to be an HSP (did you know there's lots of research behind the trait, as well as a framework for understanding our unique physiological makeup?), why it’s important to know, and how we can harness this knowledge to live more engaged and fulfilling lives.
We touch on some of the extraordinary HSP-specific strengths - and challenges - and how our wellbeing practices, including around positive psychology and productivity, can be even more effective when we view them through the lens of the HSP trait. I also give a sneak-peek into the positive psychology and productivity practices we'll experiment with in future episodes!

This episode is for you if:

-->you want to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of your HSP nature
-->you feel like the trait is more of a negative than a positive, but you're open to hearing another perspective

-->you want to explore your inherent HSP strengths, not just struggles

-->you'd like to have more balanced and empowering language for how to talk about the trait with others

In this first episode, we cover:

-->a little story time - can you identify with this depiction?

-->what it means to be an HSP -- genetically, evolutionarily, physiologically

-->how the trait 'shows up' in four primary ways that make our finely-tuned sensory processing so powerful (and sometimes challenging/overwhelming)

-->why it's important to educate ourselves about our HSP trait

-->many of the extraordinary, innate strengths that HSPs possess

-->how wellbeing practices, like positive psychology and productivity, can be even more effective when tailored to our unique processing style

-->the kinds of positive psychology and productivity topics we'll experiment with in this weekly podcast
