We have another Queer Chat episode for you this week! I will be joined by Bianca & Kasie from the Railway Hotel Parkes.

Bianca and Kasie met when working and living on Hamilton Island in 2008. In 2010 they made a tree-change to take over The Railway Hotel in Bianca's hometown of Parkes. With the skills and knowledge gained on the island and many years before that in the hospitality industry these ladies knew they had something special to bring to Parkes.

Five years in, the business was booming and there was a baby on the way! Hart was born in October 2015 and soon after that there were plans to create his namesake, Hart Bar. Their vision was to build a unique venue for the people of Parkes and the Central West to celebrate and be entertained in. Built on the second level of the hotel, Hart Bar was completed at the end of 2016.

Since Bianca and Kasie have expanded their family again welcoming identical twin girls Lorde & Raine in 2018. In the midst of a drought the hustle was hard but they made it through just in time to be hit with 2020! When the business had to close at the end of March RailwayEats was its saving grace! An online ordering system was already in place for pick up and once the delivery option was added and a few logistics figured out there has been no looking back. The pub is now back open and with RailwayEats still operating the business has seen an 85% upturn in meals.

This December marks 10 years at The Railway Hotel for Bianca and Kasie and the ladies couldn't be prouder of all that they achieved.
