Why it is finally taken me this long to be comfortable in the skin i'm in, and why I noticed as a disabled person I found myself over extending and explaining my disability to the point where it defined me. I used to be ashamed of having cerebral palsy and angry at the world for not understanding me. I am learning that once you own every aspect of yourself, nobody can take that away from you and what I used to be ashamed of I am now wearing as a badge of honor.
