004: Interview w/ The Floating Yogi - Jarrick Browner
Manage episode 312936676 series 3253116
Jarrick Browner started practicing yoga because he wanted to find an exercise that he could at home. He also wanted to remove the excuses as to why he couldn't fit a workout in his busy schedule.
His friends saw the fast development and began to pressure him into teaching. After months of telling them "No," he finally succumbed to the peer pressure and became a certified Yoga Instructor which includes training in Power and Dharma.
This led to what he called the "trifecta":
* Japanese Anime informs his philosophy;
* Dharma informs his lifestyle; and
* Ashtanga's sequencing informs his daily mind and body practice.
His sessions are playful, lighthearted, and accessible yet challenging. This allows his students to reach the edge of their limits; thereby, creating growth.
He strives to help others find spaces that they didn't know existed - mentally, physically and energetically.
