Lil Nas X has the unfortunate circumstance of being black, gay, & outspoken. “But Antonio.. it’s 2021.. we’re past that!”.. lol. After waiting for his “controversial” buzz to settle down, I’m here to explain the role evangelicals play, the role religious people want God to play, and to shake the globe a bit about this whole God thing in general. Derek Chauvin set the table in May of 2020, for the consequences he was served in April 2021. George Floyd “received” his “justice” posthumously.. which does little to nothing for the development of his youngest kids and the state of the country. America is no different on April 20th than it was on April 19th. We know this because companies are making PR statements and cable networks are praising the “steps forward”. America is stuck showing re-runs. We’re watching the same show play out over and over again. The plot has different characters , but the ending is no different. What does this mean for us moving forward? How can we make things different?
