About the Guest
Ashley is a wife, mother and writer who happens to be totally blind. She and her sighted husband are raising two children who are both blind. Their son also has cerebral palsy. Both their children were adopted from Eastern Europe and they are in the middle of their third international adoption.
Before becoming a full time homeschooling mom, she received her MSW from Florida State University. She has worked as an adaptive technology trainer, as a summer camp director, at a group home for children in foster care and as a case manager in a homeless shelter. While in college, she was involved with the National Federation of the Blind and the Florida Independent Living Council.
