Are you ready for the jungle safari lets go. Kaziranga National Park is a protected area in the northeast Indian state of Assam. Spread across the floodplains of the Brahmaputra River, its forests, wetlands, and grasslands are home to tigers, elephants, and the world’s largest population of Indian one-horned rhinoceroses. Ganges River dolphins swim in the park’s waters. It’s visited by many rare migratory birds, and gray pelicans roost near Kaziranga village. Talking about the historical fact of this park, it is heard that this park is related to Mary Curzon - the wife of Lord Curzon who was the Viceroy of India. Once Mary Curzon paid a visit to this park and her main aim was to see the famous Indian one-horned Rhinoceros. At that time, she could not find even a single rhinoceros there. It was the time when she asked Lord Curzon - her husband to take some serious steps to give protection to endangered wildlife species like Indian one-horned rhinoceros. On her encouragement, Lord Curzoninitiated wildlife protection planning. It was his efforts that Kaziranga Reserve Forest came into existence and wildlife explorers can explore rare and unseen species of wildlife.

So now we will talk about our most favorite 1 Horned rhino lets go for information.

The Indian rhinoceros also called the Indian rhino, greater one-horned rhinoceros, or great Indian rhinoceros is a rhinoceros species native to the Indian subcontinent. It is listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List, as populations are fragmented and restricted to less than 20,000 km². So now we will get information about the 1 horned rhino and the Kaziranga National Park. But for the first, we will know about 1 horned rhino after that Kaziranga National Park. Scientific name: Rhinoceros unicornis

Lifespan: 35 – 45 years ( the wild)

Class: Mammalia

Family: Rhinocerotidae

Mass: Male: 2,200 kg (Basel Zoo population), Female: 1,600 kg (Basel Zoo population)

Height: Male: 1.6 – 1.9 m (At Shoulder), Female: 1.5 – 1.7 m (At Shoulder).

Now Kaziranga National Park. Area: 430 km²

Established: 1908

Management: Government of India. Now I will tell you about the animals of the Karizanga National Park. Wild water buffalo, Indian hog deer, Sambar deer, Barasingha, Gaur, South Asian river dolphin, Assam macaque, Indian grey mongoose, and Hog badger, etc.
