The parasympathetic nervous system is commonly referred to as the “rest and digest system.” It helps you create a sense of restoration and rejuvenation which is so important in our everyday lives. Our fight or flight senses are activated daily with the constant flow of emails, phone calls, traffic, rush-rush-rush mentality, etc. By inducing a state of rest and restore with your breath you can effectively calm those fight or flight sensations to have a happier day to day life.
