"Someone, somewhere needs to hear your story in order to make a positive change.” Rachel Maunder In this episode, we talk about how every one has a story, however ordinary or boring you think it may seem to you. 👉 Download our Ultimate A-Z Guide of Powerful Public Speaking Tips here: https://connie-lee-bennett.mykajabi.com/UltimateGuide 👉 About our podcast guest: https://www.rachelmaunder.com/your-story-matters Speaking and presenting in public, facilitating meetings and training events have long been a feature of Rachel’s career. It all started in the juvenile court room, presenting cases on behalf of the Local Authority, later moving on to creating and delivering her own training on aspects of personal development, ultimately to include presentation skills workshops and individual speaker coaching. As her own speaking began to develop, one of Rachel’s first observations about successful speakers was they all seemed to have a powerful story to share – but she felt that she didn’t have one. Assured by others that everyone has a story, Rachel set out to identify her own and to find a way of bringing those stories to her speaking. She now helps others to do the same, working both with individuals and with groups within organisations. She is an active member of the PSA (Professional Speaking Association) and this year is Regional President the London region. Rachel continually works to develop her own skills both as a speaker and a coach through training, coaching and learning from other speakers. In January 2022 Rachel launched her own podcast, The Other Stories Podcast, shining a light on stories of those with lived experience of feeling ‘other’. #podcast #confidence #charisma #clarity
