Bitterness is something we are all going to battle with. Whether its the daily, day-to-day struggles with bitterness with difficult people, relationships, or the struggles of life (because lets face it- this world sucks at times)… or, maybe you have a deep root of bitterness that is in your heart. You may know where the bitter root stems from, or maybe you can’t trace it back to where the hurt began. But possibly, it is rooted in deep pain and trauma, whether it be physical, emotional, spiritual, or mental pain or trauma/some level of abuse.

Hebrews 12:15 says, “See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God; that no “root of bitterness” springs up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled…”

God wants us to live FREE from the chain of bitterness. But how in the world do we move past bitterness? In this series, let’s take a short journey of the truths, principles and lessons God has taught myself (rooted in the Bible and a biblical worldview) in my journey of how I have been able to let bitterness burn in my own life. Through years, God has done such a healing work in my heart to reveal to me my own root of bitterness, and He has given me the ability to truly walk in forgiveness (empowered by His Holy Spirit living within me).

My prayer is that these lessons will shed some light on your own journey, and God will equip you with the tools you need to live free from bitterness.

Disclaimer: I am NOT a professional counselor. These lessons are simply what God has taught me on my own journey, and I have conviction to share it with others.
