Rituals are important because they bring sacredness and attention to things. Bringing sacredness to anything adds a new dimension to it and makes it immediately more powerful. I believe that this can be applied to all areas of our lives to transform the things that don't serve us and to bring forth the things that we desire. We often apply more reverence and sacredness to external or conditioned things than we do to honouring the sacredness within us, that is us. When we attend churches we remove hats, when we sit down to eat we remove sunglasses, when we join meetings we turn our phones off or at least to silent. When we enter temples and yoga studios we remove our shoes, we place out things neatly with care into cubby holes and we enter the room with intention and consideration for those who have already found comfort on their mats. When we can bring a sacred mindset to anything we do, life is richer, has more meaning and we generally feel better. When we bring a sacred mindset to our lives we are more likely to feel fulfilled and find meaning, connection and feel satisfied in our lives. When we apply this to our workplaces, to our community organizations, to our governments and to our leaderships miracles happen. Bringing sacredness to anything in our lives greatly increases our chances of success and immediately increases the potency of our actions, experiences and our fulfilment. Have a listen.
