We have been hearing various stories right from our childhood. As we grow up, the stories around us, the ones we hear and the ones we tell others also change. But our love for stories remains the same. Ever wondered why the majority of the stories we have heard don’t specify the time and place which they take place? Why do most of the stories start with ‘Once upon a time’ or ‘Long long ago, somewhere far away’ and why haven’t we ever asked a storyteller when exactly is once upon a time? Why hasn’t the story of the hare and the tortoise aged beyond the first time we heard it? That’s the fascinating nature of stories and the magic of storytelling. RJ Ramesh asks listeners some thought-provoking questions as he delves into the world of storytelling and explains in detail about how stories have influenced our perspective in life.
