We are following a golden thread through history. This shiny metal has motivated wars, justified conquests, spurred exploration, inspired artistic masterpieces, invoked religious reverence and yielded scientific discoveries. And um... most of all gold gives us the most enduring, iconic forms of jewelry of all time.
In Part three of our series "A Casual History of Gold" we're talking about how far humans will go for gold… not far in terms of distance, but far into the depths of science, magic, and mystery. Mankind’s quest to create gold leads to mysticism, discovery and death. It's time to pull back the veil... on alchemy.
