A wave of curiosity in the prophetic ministry is sweeping up many in a deluge of deception. This counterfeit movement may be among the ominous signs of the last days. An obsession with “prophecy, signs, and wonders” can contribute to an unhealthy attraction to anything determined to be supernatural. In Matthew 16:4, Jesus declared, “A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign….” False prophets amaze individuals by calling out phone numbers, addresses and declaring meaningless prophecies. However, unknown to the masses, false prophets use divination, the same power fortune-tellers and psychics have used for centuries.
