Knowing that we are living in the last days we are to live soberly, not as fools but as wise, making the best use of the time to the glory of God. It is important that we will pay attention to how we live lest we be cast out at the appearing of our Lord Jesus. To live sober is to do all things under the government of reason and letting all your reason be under the government of the Spirit of God. Why do you do what you do? What is the motivation for the things you do? Is it for the self or is it for the honour of God? There are motivations for all the things we do. Intentions, drive for all the things we pursue. God does not look at our actions. God pays attention to the intentions behind our actions. This is why Jesus said that if we want to live without sin we should do all things with love as the intention or motivation behind it. Love for God and love for the neighbor. Sampson was a man anointed by God to bring deliverance to God's people. He couldn't live soberly. His end was not honourable. Sampson will go where he is not supposed to go because he thought to himself that he can conquer anything. He loved strange women such that he would not listen to his parents who were guiding him in the way of the Lord. Sampson couldn't bring his appetite, desires and temper under reason and his reason under the government of the Spirit of God. Precious one, John the Baptist said, "He must increase and I must decrease". Do all things to the glory of God. Live not to project yourself but rather the one who died for you to live. Do not seek the honor of men but rather the honor of God. Live a sober life. This message will bless you more.
