After 30 years of ministry, and over 40 years of walking with the Lord, I have seen, what I refer to as, “The Machine” of the Church and dead religion, wound, and/or, destroy untold lives, including my own. “The Machine” uses people and then discards them when they have outlived their usefulness to a ministry; where royal subjects are treated as commodities to enlarge the coffers and influence of their “spiritual leaders”. This is what I was “born again” into, at the age of 4, and experienced for the next 25 years. But, THEN, I was introduced to the Kingdom Of God.
This Kingdom reality is what Jesus declared more than anything in His earthly ministry! It is THIS message that was the sworn enemy of the religious culture of His day, and this message that He, gladly, laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom!
