Michael Patrick: [00:01] Hello guys and gals, welcome to Episode 1 of the Dorm Room Entrepreneur where I'm empowering like-minded young entrepreneurs just like yourself. In today's episode, I'll be your host Michael Patrick Strauch, and we are bringing you some fantastic questions asked by you, audience. Michael Patrick: [00:00] Now before we hop into the episode and get into the nice exciting questions we have for this week, let me explain to you a little bit about how this podcast is going to work, since this is Episode One. Michael Patrick: [00:13] For the first few weeks here, and possibly even the first few months, we're going to do a question and answer-based podcast, so that means you, the audience, are going to have an opportunity to reach out and ask me questions each week which I will prompt before our show, or I should say before the recording. You can do this through social media, your Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, even YouTube, or on this Anchor.FM/The Dorm Room Entrepreneur posting page. You can actually record a voice message to be uploaded in the episodes, so if you want to plug yourself a little something in there, that's totally fine, and I will actually play it during the recording of the episode. It's going to be a Q and A, so I'm going to answer the questions you guys have about entrepreneurship. Michael Patrick: [01:02] Now external from that, I think it's important to touch on what I'd like the future of the podcast to look like, so without going super, super far to the future because I really do see a lot of potential with podcasts and I see a lot of potential with the future of this podcast in particular, the nearer future is that I'd like to grow and scale this podcast to a point that I could start bringing on some bigger name business influential entrepreneurs. I think bringing them on as special guests is something that would be extremely helpful and an amazing resource to you, especially as young entrepreneurs learning how to take that next step and what are some of the helpful tips that these influential entrepreneurs took to get to where they are today. So that's where I'd like the future to go, and I have a couple of more exciting plans sprinkled in there, as long as we could start to grow and scale this podcast, that's where we will be heading. Michael Patrick: [02:01] If you enjoy this, I urge you to share this with your family and friends, even co-workers that are interested in entrepreneurship or business, or even have a cool idea and might want to make some money on the side. This is an opportunity for them to grow as well as an opportunity for you to grow, so I'm excited to jump into things and really dive in with you on this podcast. I appreciate your time, and without further adieu, let's jump into Episode One of The Dorm Room Entrepreneur. Michael Patrick: [00:00] So our first question comes as: How do you define freedom in your life, in your business as an entrepreneur? So how do you define freedom in your life and in your business as an entrepreneur? Well, this is a fantastic question actually. So freedom can be defined in many different facets. But let's start with: How do you define freedom in your life? Well, freedom in my life, the way I would define that, and look at that, is I'm free to do and go anywhere I'd like. So as an entrepreneur that mainly lives online, I have the ability to pick up and move wherever, whenever. And that's something that most people with a solid standard nine to five job do not have. Michael Patrick: [00:51] They're stuck to one location, and they have to be in that location at all times. This causes a lot of problems for individuals or even sometimes marriages, if there's one person that has to be stuck or another person wants to leave. The benefit I see of an entrepreneur, and the freedom that I find in my personal life is the ability to have no bearings. Nothing holding me down, no restraints.
