Sell Less. Mean More.

Imagine running a business while both partners go on maternity leave at the same time. That’s exactly what happened with my guests today, Aimee Maud and Annalise Romer from Romer Maud Family Lawyers.

Aimee and Annalise are co-partners in their Melbourne based family legal practice and both women became pregnant at the same time. We talk today about their journeys throughout pregnancy, birth, and motherhood and how they have successfully kept their business running throughout it all.

We talk about the core things Aimee and Annalise put in place in their business to prepare for maternity leave and how they both managed the juggle of business, morning sickness, fatigue, and life with a newborn baby.

Aimee and Annalise both share openly about their birth stories, and the complications they both faced which left their babies in nursery care while they recovered from c-sections. We discuss the fact that integrating into motherhood is an ongoing journey and one that you can never be fully prepared for.

The journey into motherhood is filled with unknowns and a huge learning curve for every woman. We talk about the additional challenges that passionate professionals face in order to keep pursuing their career goals while navigating the new territory of parenthood.
