Whan Zulu is a film producer, entrepreneur, and the first Black South African to have a pro model skateboard. In 2002, at the age of 18, Whan became a pro skater. At 38, he runs a production company called Pitch Black Post. We reminisce over youths spent on boards and discuss how the skate scene has evolved for the better over the years. Whan shares how his skating career fortuitously lead him to editing and how that lead to him running his own production company. This is his third attempt at entrepreneurship and it's finally working out the way he's hoped. If there's one thing that skating teaches you, it's how to get back up until you eventually land on your feet. Enjoy.
