Barry first found music when he borrowed his sister's record collection when he was about eight and was hooked. When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. DA AFRICA DEEP (Johannesburg,SA) Da Africa Deep real name Teleki Wilfred Mphahlele is a versatile house music producer born in Seshego, Limpopo in South Africa. The self-taught 23 year old growing up was influenced by Jazz legends like Hugh Masekela, his mother a former gospel artist and a few other Afro-house artists like Da Capo. This has cultivated his ambient Afro-House sound that has a fusion of sounds from around the world. Da Africa Deep's musical creativity and direction emulates the depth and beauty of his home , the African continent, inspired by orchestra music and the idea of being a versatile musician, making music not a genre. The Producer's biggest break happened when Black Coffee discovered his music and DM’d him on Instagram which led to Da Africa Deep joining Soulistic Agency. Da Africa Deep says he is excited for the journey ahead and wants to share his energy through making music for the soul from Da Africa Deep to the world.
