Jerry Howery was among four recent inductees in the Viking Baseball Hall of Fame. He joins Ken Swisher, Nathan Swisher and J.R. Parsons in this year's class. Current baseball player Isaiah Casto helped the Vikings with his glove, pitching arm and bat during a recent win at Point Pleasant. Frankie Winter set a new school record in the discus and the Viking junior is closing in on the RHS record in the shot put. Lady Viking sophomore Opal Huffman helped the team with 3 first-place finishes in the Hurricane Invitational Track & Field Meet. Lady Viking softball is entering post-season play. We spoke with pitcher Sidney Varney and Coach Ken Swisher, who recently reached the 300-win milestone in his 17-year career.
