Mrs. Adrienne Allen Brown A native of Canton, Mississippi, Adrienne Allen Brown is the only daughter of Bennie F. Allen, Jr. and Louella C. Allen. Growing up with a mother that was an educator, Adrienne was able to witness firsthand the academic and social accomplishments and struggles of the youth in her community, so she knew at an early age she wanted make a difference and a positive impact! Following the advice of a community leader and a high school teacher, Adrienne obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a Master of Science degree in Elementary Education from Alcorn State University. Over the last 16 years, she has served in a plethora of leadership positions in Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee and Nevada as a Special Needs Instructor, a General Education Instructor, a Collegiate Instructor, a Dean of Students, a Mentor for First Year Teachers, and a Department Chairperson. Adrienne served as the President of the Alcorn State University National Alumni Association Memphis Chapter for 2 consecutive terms from January 2012 thru December 2015. While in this position, the chapter impacted the lives of youth seeking a secondary education by recruiting and enrolling, at Alcorn, more than 50 high school students from the Memphis and northern Mississippi area, as well as providing financial assistance thru scholarships to several of those students while they were enrolled at Alcorn State University. Currently, Adrienne serves as a Special Education PACE (Program Approach to Competitive Employment) Instructor in the Clark County School District in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is also the Founder of Pro22:6, a Mentoring and Educational Awareness Program. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority, the National Association of Secondary School Principals, and she currently serves as the Alumni Liaison on the Board of Directors for the Official Fundraising Organization for the Alcorn State University Band Program, the SOD Club. Adrienne is married to the Rev. Dr. M. Christopher Brown II and is the First Lady of New Revelation Baptist Church and of Kentucky State University. She lives by the motto of Philippians 2:3-4; “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” She truly believes that mentoring today’s youth is the gateway to a more productive and efficient
