We're working through Chapter 2 of What Happened to You and the topic is Seeking Balance. This chapter further focuses on how we move ourselves from feeling bad to feeling good, or - in the language of the book - from being disregulated to being regulated. The actions that we take to move ourselves into a regulated state matter because the the things that make us feel good - or regulated - are not always the things that will help us to thrive. In fact, if we have experienced trauma then the things that make us feel regulated might actually be bad for us. In this episode we talk through how the work of cutting out actions that make us feel regulated but keep us from thriving is the work that helps us to heal.
