#20 Scars are part of our stories. Most have at least one. Jesus has five scars and they are eternally significant. Jesus surprised the living daylights out of His disciples when He suddenly showed up. They were hiding in a locked room which would have added to their shock. No wonder the first word He said, was “Peace…”. Do you know the Greek meaning of that word ‘peace’? It’significant – for all humanity. What happened to the disciples after they saw Jesus’s scars. Was there any condemnation or guilt happening with the revealing of Jesus’ scars? Why wasn’t Thomas with the disciples? How did Jesus respond to Thomas’ ‘I will not believe unless…”? We really need to thank the Lord for Thomas!
