He discusses the decision behind the name change, Jamaican slave plantation roots of the name 'Moreland', and the process by which the Council formally accepted and endorsed 3 name options offered by the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation.The proposed names are: Wa-dam-buk Meaning: 'Renew'Merri-bek Meaning: 'Rocky country'Jerrang Meaning: 'Leaf of tree' Learn more about the new name here.
