Leading Through Rough Waters

In this episode I interview Retired Naval Officer and

Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director Gary Hall. Currently Gary is a Keynote Speaker, Consultant and Podcaster.

Gary and I talk about leading through rough waters and I can say that this episode was a little rough as well. We had some audio issues, but I can tell you that we made it through and so will you. I hope you enjoy this.

During times of uncertainty, employees need someone they can trust, someone reliable, someone that communicates often. Traits required of a leader:

· Desire – You can’t shy away from leading. You must lead from the front. You must desire to lead.

· Commitment

· Responsibility

· Accountability

· Creating a Vision

· Communicating the Vision

Managers do things right. Leaders do the right thing. Exceptional leaders do the right thing in the right way.
