有一日，天神宙斯的私生子海克力士與勒拿湖的九頭蛇大戰時，海克力士的敵人希拉，她是宙斯的妻子。希拉派出一支巨蟹從沼澤中偷偷竄出，並伺機攻擊海克力士的腳，但最後不幸落敗，希拉為了紀念，就將巨蟹升上星空，成為巨蟹座。

綠蔭蔥蔥的庭院，那是他們兒時最常追逐嬉鬧的地方，也是他們學劍的地方。
十多年過去了，當初還在嬰兒床裡的妹妹，如今已經亭亭玉立。一身白裙的她不像其他的林家少女，只懂得知書達禮。緩緩反而學起哥哥，溜著大白狗順便帶上一把刀。
空無一人的林家正廳中，一座漆黑的刀架，氣勢凜凜。上頭擺放著林府的兩把傳家刀，較長的那一把叫：救贖。較短的那一把叫：贖罪。
