In this episode of the Emoroid Digest Podcast we sit down with our guest Dr. Prakash Gyawali and discuss the ACG Clinical Guidelines on the Clinical Use of Esophageal Physiologic Testing.
Dr. Prakash Gyawali is an academic gastroenterologist at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis. He is a Professor of Medicine, Director of the Neurogastroenterology and Motility Program, and Program Director of the Gastroenterology Fellowship Training program at Washington University in St. Louis. His academic interests include esophageal motility, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and functional disorders. He is involved in motility testing using high-resolution manometry, esophageal ambulatory pH and impedance monitoring, wireless pH monitoring, and endoscopic functional lumen imaging probe (FLIP). He is actively involved in clinical research involving neurogastroenterology and motility, and has published over 250 original articles, invited reviews and book chapters.
