In this episode with Cathy Tabbakh, Rosa chats to the artist about architecture, plant portraits and what its like to make the jump into working as a full time artist. Tom Best from the Auction Collective also drops in to fill you in with exactly how this Winter Auction 2021 will work. Cathy Tabbakh is a French painter working between France and the UK, with a passion for the mesmerising power of colour. She has been exhibited in both London and her native France, and holds degrees in Fashion Textile; major in Textile Design and minor in Fine Art (2011) and Art History and Archaeology (2017) - both in Lyon. Tabbakh’s work can be found in private collections worldwide. Cathy’s work collides imaginary forms with existing landscapes through the use of both architectural and botanical elements. Her compositions incorporate a hint of surrealism, as to alter presumed proportion, and a saturated colour palette to punctuate emotive mood.
