Chanel Jimenez talks about how her life changed drastically in roughly 48 hours from the moment she learned she was going to be evacuated to landing back in Texas. She served in Panama from 2019-2020 as a TELS (Teaching English Leadership Life Skills) volunteer where she spent 50% of her time teaching English and the other 50% working with youth. Even though her service wasn’t the full 27 months, Chanel still had the time to enjoy carnavales, being closer to nature and developed awesome relationships with her host families and teachers at her school.
