Anita Krajnc is formerly a professor of Political Studies at Queens University in Kingston, but she’s better known as the co-founder of Toronto Pig Save, an organization that bears witness to animals in their final moments as they approach slaughterhouses. Since 2010 the Animal Save Movement has become a global phenomenon, with 1000 chapters in many different countries, and it includes Climate Save, Youth Climate Save, and Health Save chapters in addition to Animal Save. The collective mission of the Animal Save Movement is to spread the idea that we all have a moral duty to bear witness, end animal agriculture, and reforest the Earth. In 2019 Anita was named one of Toronto’s most inspirational women, and she is here today to tell us about the Climate Save Movement’s new Plant Based Treaty project.
