In a world where many people want to put labels on things and try to squeeze music into certain genres, Ohxala does the opposite and simply creates new styles, bends genres and eventually finds new words for what they do: PONG DISCO. When listening to the tracks of this retro-futuristic and disco-ish EP they have made for us, you’ll know exactly what they mean by that term ;) … It’s their creative approach to think out of those boxes – boxes that Maria and Luis enjoy to open up, especially if they’re filled with vintage records. It’s their great passion to draw inspiration from old vinyls and collect samples for their extraordinary productions. So the tracks „Upai“ and „Minuhan“ are simply the words of the track’s vocal samples... as easy as it gets! Accompanied by the powerful remixes of Lola Villa, Da Iguana, Yusuf Lemone, Ali Kuru, Alvaro Suarez, Lui Mafuta & Puste, Geju and Mettabbana you can be sure some closed doors in your head will be opened up. We invite you to step inside this new space, feel the Pong and it’s strong energy to make you dance. ;) Ohxala: ohxala.bandcamp.com soundcloud: @ohxala www.facebook.com/ohxala Original tracks composed, produced and mixed by Ohxala Artwork: Lotte Ahoi Mastering: Ohxala
