For episode 2, we will be talking with two members of our undergraduate community, Andrea Caceres and Boyuan Dong. Andrea is a fourth year student from Mexico and Peru, and Boyuan is a recent grad from China, who completed a specialist program in Spanish. We had a great chat about our undergrad experiences and our time as immigrants in Toronto. This episode was recorded on July 11th 2022, at the Robarts Commons at the St. George campus. Here are their Latin American cultural picks: “Roma” (2018); “Street Food: Latin America” (2020) Mario Vargas Llosa; “Love in the Time of Cholera” (1988) Natalia Lafourcade; Chavela Vargas Aji de Gallina; Lomo Saltado They also recommended 3 awesome projects: the AWA Project @theawaporject; Vivir sin Miedo Toronto @vivirsinmiedoto; and Casa del Caribe, a cultural center founded by prof. Bernardo Garcia Dominguez and located in Santiago de Cuba. Hope you enjoy! Leave us your feedback in the comments or message us: https://www.instagram.com/podcastelcafecito/
