Carma's experience in the Air Force was unique. Especially her field training experience. It completely blew my mind. Carma was already a registered dietician when she entered the military as a fully qualified officer. She shares with me some of the difficulties she witnessed and experienced dealing with very rigid leadership. We discuss the impact of what being property of the United States government can have on your personal life, and what prompted her to leave the Air Force and transfer to the Public Health Service. We also learn about her struggles with infertility and how she navigated this struggle and her career.
