After a week away I've got a really special episode with Nerdcore Rapper, Streamer, and author Mega Ran. We talk about him growing up in the suburbs of Philadelphia and where his love for video games comes from. We also talk about how he first started making beats, and it's always been somewhat tied to video games. He first gained attention through his Final Fantasy 7 themed album The Black Materia and since then he's been very prolific releasing albums and collaborations regularly and most recently having his song 'Tractor Beam' in the newest Kevin Smith film Clerks 3. He's a regular performer at Comic Con's and similar conventions, and even wrote a book titled "Dream Master" during 2020 lockdown. At this point I'd be surprised to find something he can't do. I was super lucky to have him sit down with me for a few minutes and talk about his journey and how he's gotten here.
