Being an indie or non-traditional writer is a tough path. They're are tenacious, determined to get their work out there, with or without the traditional means. But actually being able to support themselves with their work can be a huge challenge. Megha Upadhyaya talks about ways to help indie authors rise above the stigma that is self publishing.
