Good morning world, good afternoon, good evening, and good night! Welcome back to another episode on TB podcast....this is episode #073. Welcome to November!!πŸŽ™πŸ₯³πŸŽ™
In today's conversation, you will hear from Bukola Daramola. She came to the U.S. as an international student in 2019. She is currently a Ph.D. student at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. In this interview, we discussed applying for the National Interest Waiver (NIW) Greencard for Advanced Degrees, who is eligible to apply, the necessary documents needed to apply, the cost and average wait period, and tips on how to prepare your letters and resume.
National Interest Waiver (NIW) is for non-immigrant individuals (living in or outside the United States of America) with an advanced degree and individuals of exceptional ability. Things we should know before applying:

  • You can do it!
  • Determine what you want to do if you get your approval; this will help you to write your justification letter.
  • Have a list of five to ten people who can write recommendations for you. High-profile individuals like Professors, Clergy, and top professional who you have learned or worked with and who will be willing to write a recommendation on letterhead and add their resume.
